Who is Usha Parkhi?
Dr Usha Parkhi is a Hindustani vocalist from Nagpur. She started learning under D G alias Bhayyaji Vazalwar. Later the eminent teacher and singer Jagannathbuwa Purohit "Gunidas" gave her tuition in 1960s but he died soon after their association started.
Usha Parkhi has a doctorate in music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. She used to perform in concerts even in her early seventies. She has been a reputed music teacher in Nagpur.
