Who is Valdeir Vieira?

The son of an influential director of the First Division professional side Sao Bento, of Marilia, Brazil, BADU VIEIRA was born in 1944. An early recognized football talent, he signed his first contract as a player at the age of 17. He played up to the age of 30 for clubs of 6 different countries in Europe and Africa. As a coach he has had successful times in another 12 countries, with clubs like Caracas FC, Blumenau EC, Liga Deportiva Alajuelense, FAS Santa Ana, Al Arabi Kuwait, Raja Casablanca, Saprissa, Dhofar Club, Al Arabi Qatar. He has won 10 championships, 5 Runners Up places. Badu has also succesfully coached the NATIONAL TEAMS of Costa Rica, Iran and 0man. He guided Iran to the '98 World Cup, and 0man to the place 58 in the FIFA Ranking '99. In the year 2000 The Washington Post listed Valdeir Badu Vieira among the TEN BEST COACHES IN THE WORLD, for his achievements and legendary reputation in Latin America and Asia. His ultra-offensive playing philosophy has brought him many credits -and some critics, both adding to popularity. At present Badu is coaching the BAHRAIN CLUB, from the Kingdom of Bahrain, which he lead to the national Premier League in 2010. Before returning to the Persian Gulf, he was with the A.C. Nagano Parceiro, Japan, since June 2006, having guided them to a 2nd place in 2007 and to Champions of the Hokushinetsu League in 2008. In the same year they have also won the prestigious National Non-League All Japan Tournament (Shakaijin).
