Who is Valerie Brelinski?

Valerie Brelinski is an American fiction writer from Charlottesville, Virginia. She attended Northwest Nazarene University and the University of Virginia where she received an MFA in 2002. Her fiction writing has been published in Boise Weekly, The English Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, and others. Her short story "Team Player" that appeared in the Chronicle can be found here.

She was a Stegner Fellow of Fiction at Stanford University from 2003 to 2005, and a Jones Lecturer from 2005 to 2007. While at Stanford, she worked on a novel and a series of stories. She currently teaches English at the Drew School in San Francisco.
