Who was Velibor Jonić?

Velibor Jonić was a Serbian fascist politician and government minister in World War II Serbia.

Jonić was by profession a professor and worked at the University of Belgrade. From the formation of the fascist ZBOR in 1935, Jonić acted as its secretary general.

Jonić became Serbian Commissioner of Education on 10 July 1941. With the fall of the regime at the hands of the Yugoslav Partisans, Jonić was tried as part of the post-war Belgrade Process. He was found guilty of war crimes and executed by firing squad.
