Who was Victor Crutchley?

Admiral Sir Victor Alexander Charles Crutchley VC, KCB, DSC, DL, RN was a British admiral in World War II and a hero of the First World War. He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
