Who is Vladimir Tarasenko?
Vladimir Andreyevich Tarasenko is a Russian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. Tarasenko has played for the Russian junior team three times, winning a silver medal at the 2009 IIHF World U18 Championships, sixth place at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and captained Russia to a gold medal at the 2011 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Tarasenko played in the system of Sibir Novosibirsk and joined their KHL team in 2008. He spent three seasons with the team before being traded to SKA Saint Petersburg in 2012. Tarasenko was drafted 16th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues.
