Mr. McNerney serves as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Boeing Company, effective July 1, 2005. Previously, he served four and a half years as Chairman and CEO of 3M (diversified technology). Beginning in 1982, he served in management positions at General Electric Company, his most recent being President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Aircraft Engines, 1997 until 2000. Mr. McNerney is also a director of The Procter Gamble Company and a member of various business and educational organizations. He is a member of the Special Programs Committee.
