Who is W. Randall Jones?

W. Randall Jones is an author, editor, publisher and media executive, best known for writing The Richest Man in Town-The Twelve Commandments of Wealth.

A graduate of the University of Georgia Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication in 1977, Jones received the school's Drewry Award as the outstanding alumnus of the year. In 2002, he was awarded the Alumni Merit Award, the highest honor awarded to alumni of The University of Georgia.

Jones was the youngest publisher of a major magazine when he became publisher of Esquire at 29 years of age according to CNN. He was also the founder of Worth magazine, and the author of The Greatest Stock Picks of All Time in 2004.

For "The Richest Man in Town", according to Business Week, Jones researched and interviewed the richest self-made man or woman in 100 American towns across the nation, to paint the most geographic and representative portrait of self-made wealth in modern America.

Jones currently serves as Chairman and CEO of American Idea Lab, a media ideation and investment firm. He sits on the boards of Wilmington Trust New York, Trinity Capital Services, Yureekah Technologies and Zemblee. Jones has also served on the board The National Council on Economic Education and the Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America honored him as "Philanthropist of the Year".
