Who is Wayne (Danny) Thornton?

Wayne "Danny" Thornton is probably best known for his acting roles these days, but it was in his time as a professional rugby league player with Castleford, when he first became used to public appearances. He also got his nickname "Danny" as a Tigers player. Danny went on to play for Doncaster and Bramley before retiring from the pro game, and playing for Cutsyke Raiders. Film appearances include the following: Booze Cruise, Dreams Ashes, The Manchester Passion *, Please Hold, Freight, Rough & Ready *, also made appearances in soaps including Coronation Street, Emmerdale and a number of other popular TV programmes.
