Who was Will Martingell?
William Martingell was an English professional cricketer who played first-class cricket from 1839 to 1860.
A right-handed batsman and right arm medium pace roundarm bowler who was mainly associated with Kent and Surrey, he made 182 known appearances in first-class matches. He represented the Players in the Gentlemen v Players series and was an original member of William Clarke's All-England Eleven.
