Who was William Bradford Huie?

William Bradford "Bill" Huie was an American journalist, editor, publisher, television interviewer, screenwriter, lecturer, and novelist. He is best known for his choice of flashpoint topics and for the practice of checkbook journalism. He had several books adapted as feature films during the 1960s and 1970s.
