Who was Xiang Shengmo?

Xiang Shengmo; 1597–1658, a native of Xiushui, Zhejiang Province, was a noted Chinese painter in the Ming Dynasty.

His style name was 'Kongzhang' and his courtesy names were 'Yi'an', and 'Xushan Qiao'. He was the grandson of the great painting-collector Xiang Yuanbian. Xiang's painting followed the style of Wen Zhengming. Xiang specialized in landscapes and flowers with an elegant taste.
