Who is Danny O'Keefe?
Danny O'Keefe is an American singer-songwriter born in 1943. His self-titled 1971 debut album included the hit "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues," which was covered by artists like Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, and Dwight Yoakam.
O'Keefe's songs were often hit covers for other artists, including Jackson Browne ("The Road"), Jimmy Buffett ("Souvenirs"), Judy Collins ("Angel Spread Your Wings"), Michael McDonald, John Denver, Glen Campbell, and others.
O'Keefe continues to write & record music well into his 70s. His songs span folk, country, jazz and more, earning praise and solidifying his place as one of the most influential American songwriters of his generation.
