Who was Gün Temür Khan?
Gün Temür was a Mongol Khan of the Northern Yuan Dynasty in Mongolia. Gün Temür was the eldest son of Elbeg Nigülesügchi Khan. He ruled from 1400 to 1402. In 1402, he was defeated by Gulichi, who killed him as a result. Several months after his death, his crown was succeeded by his younger brother Öljei Temür Khan Bunyashiri. His name, Gün Temür, means "Deep Iron" in the Mongolian language.
