Who was John Cornford?
Rupert John Cornford was an English poet and communist. He was the son of F. M. Cornford and Frances Cornford, née Darwin, and a great-grandson of Charles Darwin. He was killed in uncertain circumstances serving with the International Brigade at Lopera, near Córdoba during the Spanish Civil War.
