Lewis "Lou"/"Lew" Morgan Rees born in Treherbert, was a Welsh dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s and '40s, playing representative level rugby union for Wales, and at club level for Treorchy RFC, and Cardiff RFC, as a Flanker, i.e. number 6 or 7, and playing representative level rugby league for Wales, and at club level for Oldham, as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums, he died in Manchester,
