Who was Martha Bulloch Roosevelt?

Martha Stewart "Mittie" Bulloch was an American socialite. She was also the mother of US President Theodore Roosevelt and the paternal grandmother of Eleanor Roosevelt. She was a great-granddaughter of Archibald Bulloch, grandniece of William Bellinger Bulloch, and granddaughter of General Daniel Stewart. A true southern belle, she is thought to have been one of the inspirations for Scarlett O'Hara.
