Who is Ara Markosian?
Ara brings more than 16 years of experience with EDA and software
management. Prior to cofounding Ponte, Ara held positions as director of
engineering at Monterey Design Systems and Aristo Technology -- where he was
instrumental in the development of the IC Wizard product. Ara was also the
founder of Arset, which was acquired by Aristo. Before Joining Aristo Ara
worked at Compass Design Automation developing advanced design planning and
optimization tools.
Ara holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from
Yerevan State University, and a PhD in Computer Sciences and Mathematics
from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Moscow. Ara has published multiple
technical papers related to design automation and holds four US patents in
the field of VLSI design planning, optimization, placement and routing.
