Who was Bubba Phillips?
John Melvin "Bubba" Phillips was an American Major League Baseball player from Macon, Mississippi. A third baseman, he played on three American League teams in 10 seasons, from 1955 through 1964. Phillips was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 1972.
