Philip H. Knight was born on February 24, 1938 in Portland, Oregon. He is the co-founder and Chairman of Nike, Inc... Knight attended the University of Oregon, where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1959. In college, Knight ran track for Coach Bill Bowerman, with whom he co-founded Nike. Knight went on to Stanford Graduate School of Business where he received his MBA in 1962. Knight stepped down as the company's CEO and President on December 28, 2004. As of 2007, Knight's 35% stake in Nike gives him an estimated net worth of $9.8 billion dollars.
