Who is Ramesh Chennithala?

Ramesh Chennithala is an Indian politician. He is the son of late Ramakrishnan Nair. He was elected as a Member of Parliament thrice and was also a Kerala State Cabinet Minister at the age of 27 in K.Karunakaran's ministry. He is a Working Committee member of Congress Party and was the President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee for almost a decade till he handed over the charges to V. M. Sudheeran on 10 February 2014. He has taken portfolio of Home Minister of Kerala State from 1 January 2014.He also known by the actions taken against the blade mafias known as "Operation kubera".
