Who is Raad Hammoudi?

Raad Hammoudi Salman is a retired Iraqi football player who represented his country as a goalkeeper twice during the 1986 FIFA World Cup. He played in goal for two matches; the first against Paraguay, which Iraq lost 1-0, and the second against Belgium, which they lost 2-1, and during which Salman received a yellow card. He also played for the club Al-Shorta. He played for the national Iraqi football team from 1976 till 1987.

Raad Hammoudi is the most successful international goalkeeper in Iraqi football history.

In 1999, he was placed by the German based Federation of Football History & Statistics as Iraq's fourth best player of the century.
