Who is Alice Friman?
Alice Friman is an American poet. She has published five full-length collections of poetry: The Book of the Rotten Daughter, Zoo, Inverted Fire Reporting from Corinth and Vinculum. Her awards include Poetry Society of America's Lucille Medwick Memorial Award and Consuelo Ford Award, The Erika Mumford Prize, and Society for the Study of Midwestern Literature's Midwest Poetry Award.
Friman is a graduate of Brooklyn College and holds a master's degree from Butler University. She was named "Teacher of the Year" at University of Indianapolis in 1993.
