Who is Ageel bin Muhammad al-Badr?

Ageel bin Muhammad al-Badr Hamidaddin is the eldest son of the last ruling king of Yemen, Muhammad al-Badr, by his fourth wife. Yemen became a republic following the overthrow of the monarchy in 1962. Since the death of his father in 1996, Ageel bin Muhammad has been the head of the royal Hamid ad-Din lineage, and the pretender to the defunct throne. He is also of Omani descent through his mother. He uses the title Saif al-Islam, which was formerly carried by the Crown Princes of Yemen.

Ageel bin Muhammed has two sons: al-Badr bin Ageel and Ahmed bin Ageel.
