Who is Albert Hofstede?
Albert "Al" J. Hofstede served two non-consecutive terms as mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, both times representing the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. His first term, as the 41st mayor, began on January 1, 1974 and ended on December 31, 1975. He was defeated by independent Charles Stenvig, who himself was serving a second term. Hofstede, however, won another term beginning January 1, 1978 and finishing December 31, 1979.
