Who is Amber Seyer?

Not much for glitz and glam at a young age, Amber grew up as a pig farmer in rural Oran, Missouri. But in November of 2002, she entered and won the Miss Missouri Teen USA title, moving on to the big leagues in August of 2003, where she represented Missouri in Palm Springs, California in the Miss Teen USA 2003 pageant. Unfortunately, she did not place in the competition.

But that didn’t discourage young Miss Seyer by a long shot. In October of 2006, she went on to again compete in pageantry, this time for the title of Miss Missouri USA. And once again, she won on her very first try, making her just the fifth former Miss Missouri Teen USA to do so. But alas, in March of 2007 at the Miss USA pageant, she again did not win the title. However, she did finish 10th overall, which was much better than she faired during her Miss Teen USA days.

Being a participant in these competitions did grant Amber a few added perks. For starters, she was picked as one of three Miss USA pageant contestants to participate in an episode of NBC’s “Identity” game show to air prior to the pageant. Also, for winning the Miss Missouri Teen USA title back in 2002, she was able to attend Lindenwood University on the scholarship she received as part of the prize package. She studied International Management and Marketing.

These days are a lot more mellow on the pageantry front, although Amber did star in a sexy Super Bowl XLIII ad for Powerade Zero that was unfortunately banned before it could be aired. And it’s not like she has much to be sad about anyways. She married San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito on December 3rd, 2011. The Giants went on to win the World Series in 2012, and Zito is currently playing on a 7-year, $126 million contract that he signed back in 2007.
