Who is Bud Annand?
Baden-Powell "Bud" Annand is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club in the Victorian Football League. Annand was a reliable follower who played for St Kilda from 1956 to 1962, amassing 106 games and 11 goals. Annand joined the Saints from Castlemaine and became one of the most famous products from the club. As the VFL was not fully professional at the time, Annand had a career as a police officer. After his final season, which possibly the best of his career, as he polled three Brownlow Medal votes, Annand left the Saints to coach Redan in the Ballarat Football League.
