Who is Curt Engelhorn?
Curt Engelhorn sold pharmaceutical firms Boehringer Mannheim and DePuy Inc. to Hoffmann-La Roche in 1997 for >$10 billion. He lives a very private life, and has been known to frequently spend time in the United States.
In 2012 it was discovered that an authentic 12th century cloister had been used as a pool decoration in one of Curt Engelhorn's Spanish estates, hidden from the public and the Spanish conservation authorities for more than half a century.
