Who is Dan Ward?

Dan Ward is the author of several books, in a variety of genres. He is perhaps best known for his eclectic series of articles for Defense ATL, a technical journal published by the Defense Acquisition University. These articles include a poem, a fairy tale, an interview with 18th century pirates and a pair of illustrated superhero-style comics.

One article, titled "Everything We Need To Know About Program Management, We Learned From Punk Rock," was reprinted in Harpers Monthly (Oct 05) and ignited a minor firestorm in the punk blogosphere. His frequent co-author is Chris Quaid, and the two recently added Gabe Mounce to their stable of contributors.

Ward, Quaid and Mounce co-founded a webzine called Rogue Project Leader, which is now on more-or-less permanent hiatus.

Dan'sfirst book, The Radical Elements of Radical Success, was published in 2005, by Rogue Press. It received positive reviews, and Gilbert Magazine's stated "it counteracts so much of the nonsense in the [success-lit] genre."

He also authored a series of children's books. The first book is titled Meet The Boomer Sisters, and was published in 2005. The second came out in 2006, and is titled The Boomer Sisters Meet Champy. Two more books are planned, and are scheduled to be released in 2007 and 2008.

In March of 2007, Dan released The Desert, a collection of short stories for adults. The Desert's website describes it as "a happy little collection of stories and reflections about grace, difficulty, faith, joy and love"
