Who was Erich Weise?
Erich Weise was a German historian and archivist. During World War II, as a member of the Nazi party, he administered Polish archives captured by the Third Reich. In this position he purged people he considered "non-Aryans," used Jewish slave labor, and committed the war crime of plundering Polish historical documents.
