Who is Francis John Borgman?
Francis John Borgman was an American Civil War soldier who owned and operated a lumber mill after having served in two Union regiments from West Virginia and Indiana.
Borgman's father was John Nicholas Borgman who was born in Germany and immigrated to Virginia with his wife Elizabeth in the 1837. Nicholas and Elizabeth moved to Maryland and then back to Virginia.
