Who was Harm van Riel?
Harm van Riel was a Dutch politician of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy. He served as a Member of the Senate from November 6, 1956 until June 5, 1963, and from July 2, 1963 until June 3, 1976. He was the Parliamentary leader of People's Party for Freedom and Democracy in the Senate from March 24, 1959 until June 3, 1976. A colorful politician, he was a mentor to former Party Leader of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy Hans Wiegel during his leadership.
