Who is Jemilah Mahmood?
Dr. Jemilah Mahmood was the President of the Malaysian Medical Relief Society.MERCY She founded the organization in June 1999; modelled after Médecins Sans Frontières. Through MERCY, she has managed to bring together Malaysians from all walks of life with the common goal to serve those in need, irrespective of race, religion, culture or boundary. In 2008, she was one of 16 members appointed by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to the Advisory Group of the Central Emergency Response Fund
Dr. Mahmood is a Board Member of DARA.
