Who was John Bathurst Deane?

John Bathurst Deane was a curate, antiquary, and author. He belonged to the Society of Antiquaries and its Council and also to the Antiquarians' Club. He was one of the founders, in 1843, of the British Archaeological Association and, in 1844, of the Royal Archaeological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland. His daughter Eleanor was the mother of P. G. Wodehouse.
