Who is Kevin Sorenson?
Kevin A. Sorenson is a Canadian politician and Minister of state for Finance.
Sorenson is a member of the Conservative Party of Canada in the Canadian House of Commons, representing the riding of Crowfoot since 2000. He has also been a member of the Canadian Alliance. He has served as the former Opposition critic to the Solicitor General, and of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
In January 2006, he was re-elected with 82.5 per cent of the popular vote.
Sorenson is the chair of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
On July 15, 2013, Sorenson was named to cabinet by Prime Minister Harper as Minister of state for Finance in the recent Cabinet shuffle.
