Who is Lord Ivar Mountbatten?

Lord Ivar Alexander Michael Mountbatten, DL is the younger son of the 3rd Marquess of Milford Haven and Janet Mountbatten, Marchioness of Milford Haven. He is the younger brother of the 4th Marquess of Milford Haven, and a direct descendant of Catherine the Great.

Born in London, Lord Ivar was educated at Gordonstoun School and graduated from Middlebury College, Vermont, with a Bachelor of Arts.

Lord Ivar married Penelope Anne Vere Thompson, on 23 April 1994 in Clare in Suffolk. They have three daughters:

⁕Ella Louise Georgina Mountbatten

⁕Alexandra Nada Victoria Mountbatten

⁕Louise Xenia Rose Mountbatten

They lived at Bridwell Park, in the village of Uffculme, Devon and were divorced 2011.

Lord Ivar is one of the godfathers of Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and his wife The Countess of Wessex.
