Who was Ludwig Noiré?

Ludwig Noiré was a German philosopher who proposed a language-critical philosophy with a monistic foundation. In his account, metaphysics and the Kantian critique of pure reason are replaced by scientific investigation that is psychological and linguistic in character. Noiré worked as a schoolteacher in Mainz and was highly influenced by the work of Schopenhauer, Darwin, Spinoza and Lazarus Geiger.
