Who is Manoa Thompson?
Manoa Thompson is a former professional rugby league player who represented Fiji in 1996. Thompson was a fast, tall player who primarily played Centre. He played his first grade career with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Western Suburbs Magpies, and the Auckland Warriors in the NSWRL / ARL competition, as well as playing for the Warrington Wolves in the European Super League.
Thompson is the father of 2009 Dally M Player of the Year Jarryd Hayne who plays Fullback for the Parramatta Eels. Like his father, Hayne has also represented Fiji as well as representing Australia and New South Wales.
