Who was Mansur Ali Khan?
Nawab Sayyid Mansur Ali Khan was Nawab of Bengal until his abdication in 1880, whereupon he renounced his titles and position as Nawab of Bengal. Bengal had already been under occupation of the British since 1773 when Warren Hastings was appointed by the East India Company as the first Governor General of Bengal. So Mansur Khan was a mere puppet ruler under British regime.
