She first became known for her role in Scarface in 1983, and became famous for her role as Carmen in The Color of Money, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe award in 1986. She is also known for her roles in films such as The Abyss and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
