Putalabai was the third queen of Shivaji. Putalabai was married to Shivaji in the year 1653. She was from the Palkar family and related to Netaji Palkar
Putalabai was the eldest of the surviving wives of Shivaji. Being childless she became a sati by jumping in the funeral pyre of Shivaji.
