Who is Rafael Márquez?
Rafael Márquez Álvarez, also referred to as Rafa, is a Mexican footballer currently playing for Club León of the Liga Bancomer MX and the Mexico national team. He plays as a central defender or defensive midfielder.
Márquez spent over a decade playing in Europe, winning numerous titles with AS Monaco and Barcelona. In 2006 he became the first Mexican player to win the UEFA Champions League when Barcelona defeated Arsenal.
