Who was Shigeko Higashikuni?
Shigeko Higashikuni, formerly Princess Teru, was the wife of Prince Morihiro Higashikuni and eldest daughter of Emperor Shōwa and Empress Kōjun. As such, she was the elder sister to the present Emperor of Japan, Emperor Akihito.
