Who is Shola Ameobi?
Foluwashola "Shola" Ameobi is a professional footballer who plays for Newcastle United as a striker. Born in Nigeria but raised in England, Ameobi was capped by the England under-21 team before making his Nigeria debut in 2012. He is the older brother of fellow footballers Tomi and Sammy. Ameobi has made more appearances for Newcastle than any other current player at the club, and received a winner's medal in 2010 when the team lifted the Championship trophy.
