Who was Sultan Zainal Rashid Mu'adzam Shah II?
Sultan Zainal Rashid Mu'adzam Shah II died at Ligor was the 24th Sultan of Kedah from 1879 to 1881, a present Malaysian state. He was the son of Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Mukarram Shah with Wan Tan binti Luang Nik Abidin. He married Tengku Mariam binti Tengku Ziauddin and had a prince and a princess, Tunku Mohamad Saat and Tunku Aishah.
Tunku Mohamad Saat married to Pangiran Puteh Sultan Muhamad Jamalul Alam II.
Tunku Aishah married the Sultan of Langkat, Sultan Abdul Aziz Abdul Djalil Rahmat Shah.
He was poison and died during detention at Ligor on 22 September 1881 and was succeeded by his half-brother, Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah.
