  Did creative writing course in St. Johns Wood, where I met Ursula McHale. She was talking of writing her history. I often wonder whether she went on to write her biography. She was so interesting. I know her husband, Bernard Lee had written a manuscript which was highly praised by the writer of a book which later was made into a film, regarding rescue of German refugees, cant remember its name, very famous. It will come to me. Wonder if Bernard's story, too, was published. I Often wonder where Ursula is now and what she is doing. When I worked in London I would be driving around listening to the radio late nights, amd she was often heard to say "hello, this is Ursula from St Johns Wood" in her very distinctive rather drawly posh voice. I heard her frequently on phone-in shows. I suspect she was very lonely after her husban died in 1981. I left London in about 1983 so lost touch. She had retired from BBC as Director's Assistant I believe. Ah, Schindler's Ark. Just came to me. If anyone has heard of/read her bio, please let me know where I can get a copy. more »
