Who is Alexandrine Latendresse?
Alexandrine Latendresse is the New Democratic Party Member of Parliament for Louis-Saint-Laurent, first elected in the 2011 Canadian federal election. She succeeded former Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs Josée Verner of the Conservative Party. She had also run in Louis-Saint-Laurent in the 2008 federal election, but lost.
Latendresse introduced Bill C-419, which would require future officers of Parliament to be able to function in both official languages without the help of an interpreter.
