Who was Anna Thynne?
Anna Thynne was a British marine zoologist. She built the first stable sustained marine aquarium in 1846 and maintained corals and sponges for over three years. She was married to Reverend Lord John Thynne, the third son of Thomas Thynne, 2nd Marquess of Bath.
