Who is Billy Stott?

William "Billy" Stott is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s and '40s, playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Broughton Rangers, Oldham, Wakefield Trinity, and Belle Vue Rangers, as a Centre, i.e. number 3 or 4.

Stott won a cap for England while at Broughton Rangers in 1936 against Wales.

Stott captained Wakefield Trinity at centre, and was named man of the match, winning the inaugural Lance Todd Trophy in their 13-12 victory over Wigan in the 1945–46 Northern Rugby Football League season's Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 4 May 1946.
