Who is Brad Hoover?

Brad focuses on investments in early and growth stage technology

businesses. Areas of special interest include wireless, financial

services, and consumer internet. Brad is currently a board member of

MocoSpace, a board observer for 80108 Media and is involved with

QuickPlay Media, CCP Games, and EzPrints.

Brad joined General Catalyst from The Strategy Learning Center (SLC), a

start-up consultancy he co-founded. At SLC, Brad worked to develop a

private equity consulting business, helping veteran entrepreneurs to

hone their strategies and secure investors. Brad is a special advisor

to SLC. Prior to SLC, Brad was a Business Analyst for McKinsey

Company. At McKinsey, Brad worked primarily for Fortune 500 clients on

growth, market entry, innovation, and sales strategy, in addition to

performance management and procurement optimization. Before McKinsey,

Brad led the development of an intranet application used by the former

Arthur Andersen to project manage mergers and acquisitions. Brad graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University, with a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering.
